The first constraint is finding a central Sydney venue that suits the likely numbers, so I need a rough headcount before booking anything. I’m planning the meetup for August 2024 and keeping it informal.

The session would cover local market observations, finance and how people assess deals, with time left for specific questions. Please mention whether you could attend on a weekday evening, only at a weekend, or either. It would also help to flag accessibility needs, cost limits and whether a remote option would determine your attendance. Once those responses are in, I’ll narrow down the timing and venue.
 
Interested. Early evening would be my preference, provided the venue is close to public transport. A firm finish time would make it easier to plan around the trip home.
 
A weekend works better for me. Would remote access be possible for anyone who cannot get into central Sydney? Even a simple listen-only option could be useful, although I understand that may not suit an informal venue.
 
I’d keep this in person rather than trying to run a hybrid event. Remote access adds complexity and can make discussion awkward. My bigger concern is that the proposed agenda is quite broad: financing and deal analysis could easily fill the whole session. Perhaps ask attendees to submit one practical question beforehand and limit numbers according to the venue’s capacity.
 
Why not post two candidate dates—one early evening and one weekend—and ask people to choose? The same reply could collect accessibility needs and whether attendees are comfortable with a venue that has a small cost. Once the date and headcount are clearer, the venue and agenda should be much easier to settle.
