Taking on listing photography work around Seoul

I’m available for listing photography work in the Seoul area. A typical engagement begins with a short review of the property, followed by a written scope setting out deliverables, expected timing and anything not included.

If you are comparing approaches, post a general property description and your preferred timing. Credentials, fees, potential conflicts and any relevant insurance should be confirmed before an instruction is agreed.

The written scope is sensible, but what would the initial review cover? It would help to know whether the client should provide a shot list, access details and the intended use of the images before you discuss timing. Deliverables also need to be specific—otherwise the photographer and client may have different ideas about what “finished” means.

One more point: exclusions should be prominent rather than buried in the scope. Retouching, repeat visits, travel within or beyond Seoul, and short-notice turnaround are all things a prospective client should ask about, without assuming they are included. Is your fee usually presented as a fixed amount for the agreed scope, or broken into separate items?

I’d compare responses using the same short brief: broad property description, location in Seoul, access window, deadline and required deliverables. Then ask each provider to state the fee structure, response time, exclusions, credentials, insurance position and any conflicts in writing. The cheapest reply may not be the clearest one, especially if revisions or extra attendance have not been addressed.
