Appliances, fitted storage, garden items and light fittings can become surprisingly important when moving day arrives. What would help buyer and seller avoid different expectations?

I'd prefer a clear written inventory, with changes flagged rather than buried in messages. The binding paperwork and local process still need to be handled properly.

Photographs can help identify an item, but they shouldn't have to carry the whole agreement. A picture of a room doesn't tell you what was promised.

Also clarify replacements. 'An oven will remain' and 'this oven will remain' may describe different expectations.
