A fresh check of Doha listings has put the apparent market level near QAR 3,352, which leaves me wondering whether the current QAR 2,970 rent is now too far behind. The tenant has been dependable and has kept the condo in good order, so replacing them could easily consume the difference through vacancy, maintenance and turnover costs.
My inclination is to leave the rent alone if achieved rents do not support the advertised figures. If comparable units are actually letting near QAR 3,352, I would propose a smaller step rather than seek the whole gap at once. How would Qatar landlords make that calculation, and what local notice requirements should be checked before raising the subject with the tenant?
